Job Description: Aircraft Mechanics II must have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions. Additionally provides input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD) and assist in the recommendation of changes to (MWO). Individuals must be able to prioritize workloads and are required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks. Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is. This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures’ manuals. Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. May require specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics or other aircraft systems related disciplines.
Experience Requirements: Avionics Experience: Minimum of four years total experience in aircraft maintenance support with one years on F-15 aircraft as an avionics systems technician. The Contractor shall have the skill to identify and isolate integrated avionics systems malfunctions and analyze performance, and operate integrated avionics systems to determine operation condition. The Contractor shall remove, install, align, and check integrated avionics systems; remove and install LRUs; operationally check externally mounted avionics equipment; perform modifications. The Contractor shall also inspect integrated avionics systems, post entries, and maintain inspection and maintenance records; inspect avionics systems and determine operational status per operational checks; and interpret inspection findings and determine correction action adequacy. Avionics Technician Knowledge: Knowledge is mandatory of electronic, microelectronic, gyro, synchro, mechanical, and indicator principles, theory, and application; factors involved in transmitting and receiving within the radio frequency and radar frequency ranges; digital computer logic; using and interpreting testing and measuring devices; principles of aerodynamics and motion and power transmission by mechanical and electronic means; electronic combat principles; and concepts and application of maintenance directives. Other: Normal color vision as defined in AFI 48-123, Medical Examinations and Standards is mandatory for this specialty.
General Job Description: STi will be providing installation services of Cockpit Pressure Monitoring/Warning System (CPM/WS) Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) on F-15 aircraft (1F-15-1683 and 1F-15E-891) at Mountain Home AFB, ID, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC and TDY locations. These services are in response to Air Force declared safety modification program.
Clearance Requirements: Secret Clearance
Type of Aircrafts: F-15C, F-15D, F-15E
Hourly Rate: $31.93 per hour.
Additional Rate: $4.54 per hour for Health and Welfare. Wealth and Welfare rate can be utilized for any benefits such as: medical, dental, vision, etc. and whatever is leftover will roll into a 401k for yourself.

Contract Duration: This is a long standing contract that STi has recently been awarded. The contract with STi has a duration of 2.5 years, at which time the contract will be re-competed. STi and other vendors will bid at that time, and if in the event STi does not win the resulting contract, personnel on site have first right of refusal on a job offer from the incoming contractor. It is a long term position in that regard as personnel will just change their badging to the new company that takes over, but all positions will remain.
