Job Description: Aircraft Mechanics II must have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions. Additionally provides input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD) and assist in the recommendation of changes to (MWO). Individuals must be able to prioritize workloads and are required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks. Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is. This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures’ manuals. Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. May require specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics or other aircraft systems related disciplines.
General Job Description: STi will be accomplishing the aircraft maintenance and inspections on UH-60 series rotary wing aircraft. STi services will include Phased Maintenance Inspections (PMI) I and II. The following operations shall be conducted in support of the: PMI I and II, Field maintenance, logs and records, quality assurance, weight and balance, and corrosion control. STi will coordinate the PMI maintenance with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for aircraft scheduling. The following operations shall be conducted in support of the following list: PMI I and II, Field maintenance, Flight Line Maintenance, Aircraft Functional/Operational Checks, Logs and Records, Quality Assurance, Weight and Balance, Corrosion Control, Fuel Cell Maintenance. STi will perform repairs on components and end items, dissemble parts/components as necessary to the level authorized by the Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC) examples provided by the COR. STi will troubleshoot, test and inspect aircraft and parts to determine the extent of necessary repairs. STi will remove parts/components determined to be defective and make authorized repairs per regulations or CORs guidance. STi will install serviceable parts/components and perform operational checks.
Clearance Requirements: Basic Background Check
Type of Vehicles/Support Equipment: UH-60 series rotary wing aircraft.
Hourly Rate: $30.69 per hour.
Additional Rate: $4.54 per hour for Health and Welfare. Wealth and Welfare rate can be utilized for any benefits such as: medical, dental, vision, etc. and whatever is leftover will roll into a 401k for yourself.

Contract Duration: This is a long standing contract that STi has recently been awarded. The contract with STi has a duration of 3.5 years, at which time the contract will be re-competed. STi and other vendors will bid at that time, and if in the event STi does not win the resulting contract, personnel on site have first right of refusal on a job offer from the incoming contractor. It is a long term position in that regard as personnel will just change their badging to the new company that takes over, but all positions will remain.
