Duration: 9+ Months Contact(Long-term Contract)

Pay Rate: $35/hr. (W2) (OT after 40 hours)

Relocation: Out-of-state candidates accepted; must relocate at own expense  
Shift: Variable (1st & 2nd Shift – must be flexible) (including weekends & overtime)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II – Electrical to perform electrical modifications, installations, and troubleshooting on aircraft systems. This role involves working both on and off aircraft, supporting maintenance, testing, and system upgrades in accordance with industry and government standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical modifications on aircraft wiring and system components
• Execute complex connector terminations (shielded wires, coaxial, fiber optics)
• Route, install, and secure wire harnesses following engineering and process specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and wiring diagrams
• Conduct assembly, installation, inspection, and operational testing of electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and environmental system malfunctions (moderate complexity)
• Perform flight line and bench testing per DOD and manufacturer standards
• Modify and test wire bundles for development and retrofit projects
• Ensure compliance with safety, FOD, and procedural requirements
• Use precision measuring tools and diagnostic equipment
• Support team operations, train junior technicians, and assist cross-functional teams
• Maintain certifications and adhere to all safety protocols

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in aircraft electrical maintenance or modification
• Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and theories
• Experience fabricating and installing wire bundles
• Experience routing wiring on aircraft (commercial experience preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with depot-level maintenance and aircraft modifications
• Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or lifts

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (team lift for heavier loads)
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and on elevated platforms
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and overhead reaching
• Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception tests
• Willingness to work in high-noise environments with PPE

Work Conditions & Additional Info:

• 100% onsite role in San Antonio, TX
• Up to 25% travel may be required
• Must pass training assessments
• Overtime, weekends, and holiday work may be required based on project needs
• Compliance with Hazardous Energy and Lockout/Tagout procedures required
