The Aircraft Mechanic II serves as a Passback maintenance MH60 team lead assisting the MH60 aircraft maintenance supervisor. Assigns daily tasks in support of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations. Backfills the maintenance supervisor in their absence.
Responsibilities
- This AM2 will monitor maintenance activities of their assigned phase bay and aircraft.
- The crew lead receives guidance and schedule requirements from the aircraft maintenance supervisor and production control manager.
- Assigns daily tasks to crew and monitors phase flow daily. Responsible for ensuring that the aircraft is completed on or ahead of schedule.
- Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
- Will be required to update aircraft status in applicable customer software applications.
- May be required to assist aircraft maintenance supervisor and fill in during their absence.
- Provides technical guidance to team mechanics.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of MH60 aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures. General knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair. General knowledge of electrical and avionics procedures and operations.
- Requires thorough knowledge of technical publications and must be knowledgeable with ACN electronic logbooks and Hydra application.
- 6 years of rotary wing aviation maintenance experience.
- Must have good leadership and team building skills, to include good written and verbal communication skills.
- Will be required to pass a basic physical to be qualified to operate equipment on the flight line and move aircraft as a part of a team.
- Must be able to move and climb in, on, and around aircraft.
- Must have own tools and toolbox.
