Role Summary
* In this role, you will perform on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components in support of aircraft testing, development, and modification activities. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A high school diploma or equivalent.
* A minimum of 4 years of experience performing electrical mechanic duties is sufficient for satisfactory performance.
* A minimum of 4 years of experience and knowledge in electrical and electronic theories and systems sufficient to perform assigned duties.
* Experience in fabricating new wire bundles.
* Experience in routing and installing wire bundles on airplanes without existing wiring.
* The ability to work rotating shifts, including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
* The ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements.
* Familiarity with Hazardous Energy and Lock Out Tag Out systems applications.
* The ability to maintain required certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned work.
* The ability to obtain customer approval for access.
* The ability to pass required training assessments during the training cycle.
* The ability to adhere to tool control and Foreign Object Debris procedures.
* Regular and predictable attendance. Preferred Skills
* You will have
* Experience with depot-level or modification maintenance.
* Experience operating a forklift, mobile crane, or riding-type electric-powered elevating equipment. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Perform on and off aircraft electrical modification to wiring and system components.
* Perform complex connector terminations, including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.
* Understand wire handling and routing instructions.
* Perform sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements.
* Perform assembly, installation, visual inspection, modification, operational checks, and quality checks of aircraft electrical work.
* Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems of moderate difficulty.
* Perform aircraft bench and flight line operational testing and troubleshooting.
* Participate in testing, development, and modification of aircraft wiring and electrical assemblies.
* Consult with management and peers to assess the best work processes.
* Assist and train less senior employees.
* Lead teams through more complex aircraft-related tasks as required.
* Prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
* Perform duties of lower electrical classifications as required.
* Interpret work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, and orders.
* Ensure equipment is used in accordance with established safety and operating procedures.
* Diagnose and correct malfunctions occurring in assembly processes.
* Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools to verify quality requirements.
* Assist other team members to ensure cost and schedule targets are met.
* Work onsite and travel up to 25 percent as required. Physical Requirements

* Ascend and descend vertical work ladders.
* Work in confined spaces.
* Lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.
* Work on elevated platforms.
* Use personal protective equipment for the face, eyes, ears, hands, and arms.

* Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
* Perform finger manipulation for up to 3 hours.
* Perform two-person lifts for weights greater than 50 pounds as required.
* Reach overhead for extended periods of time.
* Walk frequently on flat surfaces.
* Stand frequently on flat or uneven surfaces.
* Balance on ladders, steps, or uneven surfaces.
* Climb ladders or stand up to 12 feet.
* Rotate head and neck, sit, crawl, squat, bend, stoop, lie down, and operate foot controls for extended periods.
* Work with occasional contact with metals.
* Work with frequent exposure to noise.
