Job Title: A&P Mechanic
Job Description
An opportunity is available in Buffalo, NY for an A&P Mechanic to support a Part 135 helicopter operation. This role involves working with Bell 429 helicopters in a medical evacuation setting, providing a stable 40-hour work week with on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Bell 429 helicopters.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and return aircraft to service in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Accurately read, interpret, and navigate maintenance manuals and electronic documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Part 135 and company maintenance standards.
- Travel between operating bases as required.
- Manage aircraft parts inventory.
- Conduct fuel farm inspections and documentation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
Essential Skills
- Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electronic maintenance systems.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Ability to travel between bases as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Civilian helicopter maintenance experience, including exposure to Bell, Sikorsky, AgustaWestland, Airbus/Eurocopter.
- Open to candidates with military, general aviation, or corporate aviation backgrounds.
- Possess a basic set of hand tools.
- Ability to convey written and verbal information accurately.
- Comply with all regulations in the Employee Handbook and Administrative Policy Manual.
- Ability to read and understand manuals, documents, and verbal instructions.
- Ability to arrange objects or actions in a specific order or pattern according to rules or checklists.
- Perform tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision.

Work Environment
The role operates within a hangar environment at a rescue flight center where downtime is costly both financially and in service calls. The position requires maintaining neat, clean, and orderly work areas, and performing tasks independently in a timely manner.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
