Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Aircraft Mechanic at our Petawawa facility, where you will be pivotal in supporting CH-147F Phase Inspections for the Royal Canadian Airforce. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining and enhancing aerospace vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul and configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components.
• Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, including repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results.
• Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Oversee training and work under general direction.

Essential Skills

• 4 or more years of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably on the CH47 platform.
• Eligibility to handle US export-controlled data.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
• Consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
• Must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods.
• Eligibility for Secret Level II security clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Post-secondary education.
• Completion of a formal CH147 type training course related to aviation specialty from an acceptable training organization.
• High school diploma or GED with typically 4 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

This position is 100 onsite in Petawawa, Ontario. The work schedule is from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime. Candidates must be prepared to relocate at their own expense if applying from out of city. This role requires local citizenship or a PR for eligibility.

This is a Contract position based out of Petawawa, ON.

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $55.00/hr.
