Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Aircraft Mechanic)

Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician performs routine and non‑routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a fleet of regional jet aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid technical expertise, and a consistent commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. You will read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical documents, accurately complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and regulatory agencies to keep aircraft safe, reliable, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Read and utilize blueprints, maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins, and other maintenance documents to troubleshoot issues and complete work assignments accurately.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, repairs, and alterations on aircraft, including engines, power plants, and components, in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft systems such as hydraulic systems, de-icing systems, landing gear, and related components to identify leaks, cracks, distortions, foreign object damage, and other irregularities.
  • Perform inspections during the assembly of parts and after repairs or component installations to verify proper fit, function, and compliance with specifications.
  • Run diagnostic tests on aircraft systems, interpret the results, and implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Accurately document maintenance procedures, discrepancies, and corrective actions in maintenance logs and records, ensuring full compliance with FAA and company documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, supervisors, and support staff to prioritize tasks, coordinate maintenance activities, and minimize aircraft downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures, maintenance best practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment and ensure airworthiness.
  • Support heavy maintenance and C-check activities on regional jet aircraft as needed, including work on CRJ and ERJ platforms.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and regulatory agencies to clarify technical information, report status, and resolve maintenance issues.

Essential Skills

  • A&P License (Airframe and Powerplant certification).
  • 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience is preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong skills and potential.
  • Hands-on experience with aircraft maintenance on regional jets, ideally including CRJ or ERJ aircraft.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, and service bulletins.
  • Proficiency in performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and alterations on aircraft structures, engines, power plants, and systems.
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and standard maintenance practices.
  • Ability to run diagnostic tests on aircraft systems and interpret results to determine corrective actions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both technical work and maintenance documentation.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Willingness to work either first or second shift and to follow rotating schedules as required by operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Heavy maintenance experience on CRJ or ERJ aircraft is highly desirable.
  • Experience with commercial heavy maintenance or line maintenance on regional jets is a strong plus.
  • Military aircraft maintenance experience combined with an A&P license is highly valued.
  • Experience performing C-checks and heavy maintenance on jet aircraft.
  • Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic, including consistently showing up prepared to work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing operation with changing priorities.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on, physically demanding maintenance environment, including moving between hangars and working around active aircraft.

Why Work Here?

You will join a growing aviation organization that is actively expanding its airline and charter operations, including recent fleet growth to support additional charter offerings. The company invests heavily in training and professional development, giving you the opportunity to continually build your technical skills and advance your career.
