We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to support operations at an Illinois facility. This is a highly deadline driven production environment requiring a candidate who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team while maintaining strong quality standards.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, reliable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and modify aircraft structures in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
• Perform close tolerance drilling and structural assembly
• Drill, fit, and assemble aircraft components
• Fabricate parts per engineering drawings
• Remove and install fasteners and rivets
• Utilize aviation hand tools and pneumatic tools safely and effectively
• Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards

• Minimum 5 years of aircraft sheet metal experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with close tolerance drilling
• Proficiency with aviation hand tools and sheet metal equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Business aviation experience preferred
• Experience working on multiple aircraft platforms

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must provide their own basic aircraft sheet metal tools necessary to perform job duties
