Aircraft Structural Technician
Job Description
Join a dynamic team on the production floor, assembling wings for aircraft in a specialized cell. As an Aircraft Structural Technician, you will work predominantly with sheet metal, performing tasks such as riveting, drilling holes, countersinking, sealing, deburring, bonding, and dimpling. You will read blueprints and complete work orders as tasks are completed, with additional duties assigned by supervisors as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assemble sheet metal wings and associated components.
- Perform riveting, drilling, countersinking, sealing, deburring, bonding, and dimpling.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Fill out and manage work order documentation.
- Work with skins, spars, and stringers in jigs.
- Collaborate with supervisors to complete additional tasks.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of Canadian experience or 10+ years of international experience in Aircraft Structures.
- Experience with Aircraft Production Assembly, specifically wings.
- Proficiency in sheet metal work and aircraft structural assembly.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical plans.
- Experience working in jigs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- AME - S license.
- Experience with chemicals that prevent corrosion.

Work Environment
The position is based in Northeast Calgary, in proximity to local amenities. The work environment is structured with two shifts: Day Shift runs Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the potential for an additional 2-3 hours per day. The Afternoon Shift operates Monday to Thursday from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, with potential Friday hours. The role involves working around planes in a manufacturing setting, offering a stimulating and engaging work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr.
