Structures Mechanic in Millington, TN
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structures Mechanic to join our team supporting heavy maintenance and MRO operations in Millington, Tennessee. This is a direct-hire opportunity with an organization recognized for its broad aviation capabilities, long-term stability, and commitment to professional growth. Candidates will work on a wide variety of commercial and corporate aircraft while contributing to high-quality structural repair, modification, and heavy check programs.
Key Responsibilities
Heavy Maintenance & Structural Repair
- Perform major and minor structural repairs on commercial and transport-category aircraft.
- Carry out heavy checks and support drop-in maintenance for customer aircraft.
- Fabricate, install, and repair aircraft structures using approved data, including sheet metal, composite, and bonded components.
- Work across multiple platforms including Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier (CRJ-200/700), and various corporate jets.
Component & Airframe Modifications
- Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall structural components such as skins, frames, stringers, panels, doors, and flight-control surfaces.
- Utilize proper tooling, precision measuring equipment, and technical data to ensure accuracy and airworthiness.
- Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all FAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Ensure all structural work meets airworthiness requirements and internal quality expectations.
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with inspectors, leads, planners, and fellow technicians to support efficient aircraft turnaround.
- Communicate effectively regarding task status, material needs, and technical issues.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Compensation & Schedule
Direct-hire position with annual percentage pay increases based on company performance and individual contribution.
Multiple schedule options:
Sunday–Thursday
• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (+$0.50 shift diff.)
Tuesday–Saturday
• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (+$0.50 shift diff.)
Monday–Friday
• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (+$0.50 shift diff.)

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of heavy maintenance experience
- Minimum 3 years of commercial aircraft structural repair experience
- Strong sheet-metal and structural repair skills, including drilling, riveting, forming, and blueprint interpretation
- Ability to work across multiple aircraft platforms (Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, corporate jets)
- Must pass a 10-year background check and FAA-DOT drug screen
- Must provide own tools (no etching or shadowing required)
