Job Title: Aircraft Structures Mechanic
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Aircraft Structures Mechanics to join our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Team based out of Kinston, NC. Aircraft Structures Mechanics will be responsible for performing heavy maintenance and modifications to Charter Jet Aircraft, mainly Cessna Citation and Gulfstream models. This position will be a long term contract / contract to hire role for those that wish to become direct employees of our client and enjoy extremely competitive benefits including 401k with employer match, PTO / Holiday pay and the opportunity for advancement with a first class and Charter Company with their own Part 145 MRO facility. Pay Rate is $35.00 - $50.00 an hour based on expereince. Tools are required.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform heavy maintenance and calendar inspections for various Cessna Citation and Gulfstream aircraft models.
- Perform avionics modifications including Starlink upgrades which will include new antenna installations along with doubler and intercostal work / installs.
- Perform sheet metal and structural repairs to aircraft skins, fuselages, wings, doors, frames, interior components and more.
- Fabricate sheet metal and structural components as required
- Perform close tolerance drilling and installations in critical aircraft structural areas.
- Use calibrated precision measuring tools.
- Utilize various fastener removal tools and techniques.
- Set up and validate jigs and other tooling setups.
- Work with CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic), aluminum, and titanium structural materials, including drilling and sanding.
- Interpret and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Use software applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Windows, and SAP.
- Inspect work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
- Perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, and working in confined spaces.
Position Requirements
- 2+ years of Aircraft Heavy Maintenance and/or Modification Experience.
- Experience performing aircraft sheet metal repairs.
- Experience fabricating aircraft sheet metal and structure components.
- Expereince with Cessna Citation or other Corporate Jet aircraft is highly preferred but not required.
- Must have tools and toolbox

Work Environment
Work at a small airport with several office buildings and maintenance hangars, many of which are brand new or under construction. Shifts range from 8 to 10 hours based on workload, with options for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends. Opportunities for overtime are available.
