We proudly support all four branches of the military in performing Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level aircraft, ground vehicle, and component maintenance. We have an opportunity for an Aircraft Worker to support our C-130 corrosion control team at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan.
 
 Description:
 The overall goal of the Aircraft Worker is to provide safe flyable aircraft to execute the unit’s daily flight schedule. The Aircraft Worker will perform the following duties under the guidance of higher grade workers:

  • Assist in the execution of scheduled maintenance; support equipment operation and inspection; aircraft movement and inspections; and preservation and de-preservation of the C-130 aircraft
  • Corrosion control/aircraft painting
  • Assist in troubleshooting malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls
  • Remove, clean, reinstall, or replace defective parts, accessories, and components such as worn gaskets, couplings, and fittings, bad actuators, accumulators, gauges, sections of corroded fuel and oil lines
  • May perform pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections
  • Updates maintenance records and services engines and aircraft components at line station making repair required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition

Qualifications:
  • This position requires a minimum of two years of well-rounded training and experience, usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience
  • At least one year of formal training/experience with corrosion control required
  • Candidates who have completed the Navy Corrosion Control and Paint Finishes courses will be given primary consideration
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
 
Physical Demands
  • Work will require a high level of hand dexterity and finger use in both hands, close vision corrected/uncorrected to 20/20, prolonged periods of standing and sitting in combination with stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, as well as ability to lift 25lbs and over with assistance.

Work Environment (ADA)
  • May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flight line that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable.  
Security Clearance
  •  This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Favorable government clearance.
