The Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and servicing aircraft to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, engines, airframes and associated components. The A&P Mechanic must adhere to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, manufacturer specifications and in accordance with HOVA Flight Services policies to perform maintenance activities on a variety of aircraft types.
Reports to: Director of Maintenance (DOM)
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft maintenance inspections, such as 100-hour and pre-buy inspections
- Assist with annual inspections
- Troubleshoot and fix aircraft discrepancies
- Perform preventative and general aircraft maintenance
- Follow Company and FAA policies and procedures
- Complete tasks assigned by DOM
- Complete work orders, log entries, and time sheets
- Maintain hangar in a neat and orderly manner
- Take care of company equipment and tools
- Provide parts list to Parts Manager of needed parts
Occasional overtime and weekend shifts are required.
