Job Title: Aircraft Components Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Aircraft Components Assembler responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies. The role involves identifying nonconforming parts, conditions, and manufacturing processes in accordance with customer requirements.
Join our team as an Assembly Technician for the 2nd shift, working from 2pm to 12:30am, Monday through Thursday. Enjoy Fridays working from 5am to 1:30pm, with occasional overtime on Saturdays. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies to meet customer requirements. Your expertise in basic sheet metal, riveting, and assembly methods will be crucial in identifying nonconforming parts and ensuring quality in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to meet quality requirements.
- Gather required data to facilitate assembly progress.
- Set up and operate various shop equipment, such as squeezes and precision measuring tools, including drill motors and countersink cutters.
- Troubleshoot any problems that arise and seek process improvements.
- Perform any required rework or changes during the assembly process.
- Assemble major components of sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and smaller bench work assemblies.
- Move and obtain correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies.
Essential Skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Effective verbal communication regarding work processes.
- Strong writing skills to record process information.
- Time management skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools and complex assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or one to two years of related experience and/or training.
- Six months of vocational training preferred.
- Experience with sheet metal and complex assembly (2-5 years).
- Experience with structures (2-5 years).
- Previous experience with Spirit, Boeing, Textron, or Cessna is preferred.

Work Environment
The position offers full-time employment. You will work 60 hours per week in a climate-controlled area, and steel toe boots are required. The work environment is characterized by exposure to vibration and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise levels.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
