Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour

Make an Impact.PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Associate General Mechanic supporting a high-profile aircraft program. In this role, you will contribute directly to mission-critical aircraft maintenance and modification, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance at the highest level.
What You’ll DoAs an Associate General Mechanic, you will be at the center of aircraft maintenance operations, performing a wide range of hands-on technical tasks:
- Perform installation, removal, and rigging of flight control systems
- Maintain and service landing gear systems and essential aircraft components
- Execute component change-outs (servo pumps, filters, engine components, etc.)
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications to complete structural modifications and repairs
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues within assembly and maintenance processes
- Use precision measuring tools and instruments to ensure compliance with strict quality standards
- Access and manage aircraft data systems for parts, discrepancies, and documentation
- Ensure all work complies with safety procedures, including Hazardous Energy and Lockout/Tagout requirements
- Maintain certifications, permits, and adherence to site procedures including tool control and FOD protocols
- Collaborate cross-functionally with avionics, structures, and electrical teams to meet production and schedule goals
What You BringRequired Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- 9+ years of experience in depot-level or heavy aircraft maintenance
- 9+ years working with aircraft systems (hydraulics, flight controls, landing gear, fuel systems, engines, interior/exterior components)
- Extensive experience reading and interpreting schematics, specifications, and assembly drawings
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to pass required training assessments and maintain certifications
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
Preferred Qualifications- Advanced aircraft rigging expertise
- Experience in heavy maintenance, modifications, and depot-level operations
- Background performing engine runs and borescope inspections
- Experience operating forklifts, mobile cranes, or elevating equipment
Physical & Work Environment Requirements- Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, balancing, bending, and overhead reaching
- Comfortable working on elevated platforms and in high-noise environments
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
- Must pass visual acuity and color perception assessments
- Ability to safely handle and work with hazardous materials
