TASK DESCRIPTION:

Provide advice and assistance to the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) regarding the conceptualization, design, development, documentation, implementation, training, operation, and troubleshooting of modern maintenance management information systems. Advise senior officers of the KAF on all matters relating to maintenance automation by providing interpretation of the Kuwait Aviation Maintenance Management Program 4790.2 Series and acting as interface between aviation maintenance and data processing professionals. The task incumbent will have a strong background in both data processing and aviation maintenance management.

TASK REQUIREMENTS:

1. Advise data processing professionals regarding aviation maintenance management functions. 2. Advise senior maintenance management personnel regarding applicable areas of automation. 3. Perform design analyst responsibilities of a self-directed work group,

which include:

establish standards, design, test, and implement the resulting software. Coordinate between the work group and maintenance managers. Monitor the program using appropriate project management software. 4. Provide technical advice and guidance regarding proposals and studies of short and long term options involving aviation maintenance automation. 5. Perform system administration duties for all maintenance Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks. 6. Troubleshoot and repair personal computers and setup and configure personal computers within the KAF. 7. Prepare and conduct formal classroom instruction and on-the-job training as required.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 10 + years experience with an Aviation Maintenance Program. 2. 10 + years data processing experience. 3. Be knowledgeable and have experience with personal computer applications and computer hardware configuration and operation. 4. LAN training. 5. Experience in report generation and analysis. 6. Be knowledgeable and have experience conducting formal training on computer hardware and software. 7. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. 8. Windows NT experience desired. 9. No security clearance required.
