TASK DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the OIC, Technical Training Schools,

the Aviation Electrical Maintenance Instructor will provide Aviation Electrical Maintenance Management instruction to the KAF and Contractor personnel to include the following areas:

  1. Basic electricity and electronics fundamentals
  2. Basic Aviation Electrical Course
  3. Aviation Electrical troubleshooting
  4. Required Aviation Electrical Technical Publications
  5. Basic avionics corrosion control
  6. Other related Maintenance courses requested by the Kuwait Air Force (KAF).

 

The Incumbent will provide this service to KAF personnel. In addition to formal classroom instruction, the incumbent will perform site audits as requested by the Technical Control Branch which may be followed by extra instruction, OJT, or advice to the KAF or Maintenance practice in line with KAMP 4790.2 Series guidelines.

TASK REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Develop, implement, and teach Aviation Electrical Maintenance courses to KAF personnel as required.
  2. Provide Aviation Electrical Maintenance OJT as required by the KAF.
  3. Provide assistance to other departments as related to Aircraft Electrical Maintenance.

 

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as an Aviation Electrical Maintenance technician involving military aircraft.
  2. Advanced technical background in military aircraft maintenance to include Aviation Electrical system operation, servicing, and recurring inspection requirements.
  3. Hands-on experience in the planning of periodic maintenance requirements to include criteria, procedures, and associated documentation.
  4. Proven experience as a technical instructor with qualifications in Methods of Instruction.
  5. Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson plan design are required to adapt courses to KAF training.
  6. Proficient in the use of personal computer word processing programs.
  7. No security clearance required.
