Job Description

The position involves assembling and modifying aircraft parts and components. The technician will correct any malfunctions or deficiencies with and without power applied to the aircraft, access and re-install aircraft components, and perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and modify aircraft parts and components.
• Correct malfunctions or deficiencies with and without power applied to the aircraft.
• Access and re-install aircraft components that obstruct task performance.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in repair and aircraft maintenance.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance and military aircraft.
• Possession of 8610-2 documents or A&P Certification with 2 years of aircraft maintenance/systems experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Motivation to achieve an A&P license in a 6-week fast track program.

This position offers a unique opportunity to fast track your career in aviation maintenance. While in the 6-week program, earn $30 per hour. Once you achieve your license, competitive pay rates are offered based on experience, ranging from $33-$41 per hour, along with a weekly bonus of $150 to $160.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted at a service center in Hartford, CT, in a non-climate controlled environment. The facility allows customer access on the floor. Shift details will be determined. Casual dress is expected, with jeans, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes being appropriate attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, CT.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
