We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Instructor to help shape the curriculum, foster student engagement, and ensure our program meets the highest standards of aviation education. This position is full time position. This position is on-site, and class times vary but are typically held Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Support classroom setup and equipment selection for the new program
- Design and revise the curriculum through an equity-minded, student-centered, antiracist lens while staying aligned with FAA Part 147 and industry needs
- Facilitate student learning through mentoring and engaging with students in lecture and lab settings.
- Developing and implementing individualized learning strategies in support of our students.
- Collaborate with colleagues and students, cultivating an inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive learning environment.
- Ensures the course content and teaching resources are inclusive and designed to encompass students enrolled in our programs, eliminating barriers, and creating a culturally responsive pedagogy.
- Engage in college-wide and departmental committees and activities driven to support goals and initiatives of the institution.
- Provide holistic support designed to foster student success and the development of students’ engagement in lifelong learning.
- Support continuous improvement efforts utilizing assessment data to bolster accreditation efforts, student success, and close performance gaps.
- Deliver engaging instruction in airframe and powerplant maintenance, systems diagnostics, safety practices, and FAA regulations.
- Guide students through hands-on lab work and real-world simulations
- Participate in program development meetings, accreditation processes, and outreach efforts
- Promote safety, professionalism, and teamwork both in and out of the classroom

Initial Salary Placement Range: $44,143 - $96,905, salary dependent on qualifications of candidate (Based upon qualifications, view 2023 - 2025 MSCF Contract for additional information)

We offer hands-on training for individuals who want to become Aviation Maintenance Technicians. Our program is designed to equip graduates with the skills and certifications needed to inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft to meet FAA standards. Upon completion of the 2 year program, graduates will have received the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the FAA A&P license test.
