POSITION: Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) Instructor

LOCATION: NDSCS – Wahpeton and Fargo, North Dakota 

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 12-month, benefited position 

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Anyone eligible to work in the United States 

JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities include teaching and developing curriculum for the AMT program courses that meet FAA Part 147 Certification. Develop project timelines with objectives and support requirements with NDSCS and accrediting agencies. Assist in the hiring and training of Aviation Instructors, acquisition of equipment and prepare facilities for classroom and laboratory training. Additional duties include student advising, assessment, student recruitment, and participation in assigned departmental, divisional, and college committees and activities. 

• Must support the mission, vision, values of NDSCS

• Hold FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

• FAA Part 147 instructor

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Computer literate

• Ability to work effectively and professionally with students and staff in a team setting

• Flexibility to meet the needs of students

• Willingness to teach students with varying levels of ability

• Able and willing to keep current in the field

• Willingness to teach distance education as future needs arise
