Job Title: Aviation Mechanic
Job Description
This role focuses on performing high-quality maintenance, inspection, and repair of turbine and piston aircraft in a Part 145 repair station environment. You will ensure every aircraft meets regulatory, manufacturer, and internal standards while working efficiently and safely as part of a collaborative maintenance team.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbine and piston aircraft in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct detailed inspections in compliance with FAA regulations and internal company procedures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair aircraft mechanical and electrical systems, including airframe, engines, and related components.
- Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately, thoroughly, and within required timelines.
- Ensure full compliance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards on all maintenance activities.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and team members to meet maintenance deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in the hangar and on the line.
- Support line, phase, and heavy maintenance activities as needed to keep aircraft in service.
- Assist with installation, adjustment, and testing of aircraft systems and components as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and best practices to protect personnel, equipment, and aircraft.
Essential Skills
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (required).
- 2+ years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience preferred, working on turbine and/or piston aircraft.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, and inspection.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues on aircraft systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience performing line maintenance, phase maintenance, and heavy maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with aircraft systems, engines, and components, including corporate and business aircraft.
- Ability to complete maintenance records and documentation accurately and on time.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work overtime and some weekends as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with business jets or general aviation aircraft strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a Part 145 repair station environment.
- Familiarity with corporate aircraft such as Bombardier and Falcon is a plus.
- Experience with inspection authorizations (IA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with avionics systems and avionics troubleshooting.
- Experience in MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) operations.
- Capability to perform aircraft repair, including airframe and powerplant components.
- Ownership of personal tools for aircraft maintenance (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
