Job Title: Aviation Quality Inspector (Repair Station)
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will support production and parts sales by physically inspecting components against engineering drawings and specifications to ensure workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality and customer requirements. This role involves reviewing certification paths, performing First Article Inspections (FAI), issuing applicable FAA forms, and completing functional tests. You will be a part of a Quality Control/Assurance team ensuring aircraft components comply with FAA/TSO requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document inspections on products and processes, including aircraft air lines, seats, divans, monuments, spares, and other components during assembly.
- Conduct first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA and AS9102 approved procedures, ensuring all records are completed.
- Issue FAA 8130-3, 8130-9, and 8100-1 forms in accordance with FAA requirements for conformity, prototype, export, and 14 CFR Part 43 Return to Service activities.
- Assist with nonconformance investigations.
- Possess MRB Authority.
Essential Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in using various measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and multi-meters.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask.
- Work independently or in a team with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
- 5 years of aircraft component inspection experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- FAA Part 21 Parts Manufacturing Approval and FAA 145 Repair Station experience preferred.
- Working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance or Quality Control systems and methodologies (AS9100).
- Ability to complete FAA initial/recurrent designee training if required, with a passing certificate as part of the ARD approval process.

Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. For the highest pay, an A&P license is not required, though it is not necessary for pay grades ranging from $28 to $32 per hour. A&P license $33 to $35 per hour.
