You’re an avionics hands-on technician who enjoys clean installs, sharp troubleshooting, and getting aircraft systems performing exactly to spec. In this permanent role based in Latrobe, PA, you’ll inspect, test, diagnose, repair, remove and replace aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems in line with manufacturer requirements, FARs, and industry standards—always working safely, methodically, and with pride in quality.
Helicopter experience is a plus. Aircraft completions experience is a strong advantage.
What you’ll do
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, remove and replace aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems
- Fabricate and install avionics and electrical systems
- Fabricate and install wiring harnesses (including heavy modification work)
- Complete antenna and coax installations
- Terminate wires and perform soldering to standard aircraft wiring practices
- Troubleshoot and test avionics systems using basic avionics test equipment
- Perform electrical harness continuity and power checks
- Perform ground operational tests, inspections, and support pre/post test flights
- Perform 91.411–91.413 tests (as applicable)
- Occasionally perform off-site work as needed
What you bring
- Proven experience in avionics installation and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of standard aircraft wiring practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of electrical components and soldering techniques
- Knowledge of autopilot systems
- Familiarity with basic avionics test equipment
- A safety-first mindset and the ability to work in a clean, organized manner
Nice to have
- Helicopter avionics experience
- Aircraft completions experience
- Experience with avionics systems testing and helicopter avionics
Employment Conditions
- Salary: $58,240 – $104,000 gross/year depending on profile
- Contract: Full Time
- On-site: based on business needs
