Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a B-1B Field Service Representative to provide engineering and technical recommendations in support of United States Air Force B-1B operations, products, and service at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma.
You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.
Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.
Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide technical recommendations to customers regarding aircraft technical manuals, USAF Technical Orders, data, training, and technical support as required.
- Represent The Boeing Company to customers, regulatory authorities and industry working groups to ensure safe, efficient product operation.
- Apply maintenance and engineering principles to lead research on technical, operational, regulatory, safety and/or quality issues affecting the B-1B fleet.
- Lead and manage development of interim and final solutions to minor and complex aircraft maintenance queries.
- Develop clear and concise customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of the aircraft and support equipment.
- Skilled in the use and understanding of B-1B maintenance Technical Order manuals (Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Structural Repair Manual, Illustrated Parts Breakdown Manual, Inspection and Maintenance Requirements Manual, etc.).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in B-1B flight line maintenance
- Knowledge of Technical Orders, electrical and engineering drawings and providing guidance for the B-1 platform
- Minimum 3 years of experience assisting with reliability processes in engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience performing maintainability analyses that included the identification of step-by-step procedures, associated tasks times, and tool requirements for performing maintenance actions
- At the sole discretion of leadership, employees must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs. Failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.
- At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years B-1B maintenance experience in Avionics, Communication, Navigation, Missions Systems, Electrical systems, power control, power distribution, movable surfaces, flight control systems, fuel systems, sheet metal.
- Knowledge of the Air force maintenance recording systems
- Experience working directly with government aerospace engineers
- 5+ years of experience with B-1B modifications and Modernizations
- Experience developing Statements of Work

Summary pay range: $74,800 - $101,200.
