- Ability to ascend/descend vertical ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift 35 lbs.
- Occasional 2-person lifts for items over 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching overhead, balancing on ladders/stands, or working on elevated platforms.
- Occasional squatting, crawling, bending/stooping, lying down, and using foot controls.
- Exposure to noise, metals, and hazardous materials.
- Ability to pass visual acuity and color-perception tests.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Must use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Must obtain and maintain required certifications and pass an assessment at the end of training.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience performing the duties listed above.
- Experience using basic hand tools in technical or mechanical environments.
- Experience working with aircraft systems such as hydraulics, flight controls, fuel systems, engines, landing gear, or interior/exterior components.
- Experience in aircraft repair, modification, and/or tooling operations.
- Ability to work variable shifts and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically on C-17 aircraft.
- Experience in heavy aircraft maintenance.
- Ability to operate forklifts and electric-powered elevating equipment.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED and typically 3+ years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience,
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational or technical school).
