Essential Responsibilities

  • Complete required training curriculum for weld processes 
  • Ability to obtain required weld certifications for GE
  • Complete all required compliance training 
  • Complete all EHS training and participate in safety and or quality audit 
  • Be an active contributing member of a high-performance self-directed work team 
  • Ability to use / apply TIG welding and assembly techniques and inspections 
  • Ability to read & understand process instructions & weld schedules 
  • Communicate effectively with Production Control and Process Engineer(s) on needed supplies and consumable materials 
  • Drive Safety, Quality, and Production metrics within the team business needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Welding Certification from accredited Trade School or equivalent

Eligibility Requirements

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
  • Flexibility to work off shifts and travel for training as needed.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision in a team environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow process planning, part routers, and other quality documents.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require manual dexterity, as required 
  • Complete required training curriculum for weld processes 
  • Complete all required compliance training 
  • Complete all EHS training and participate in safety and/or quality audit
  • Cross train on other direct labor operations, as required per business need

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
