This position includes a $4000 sign on bonus in 2 installments: $2000 with first payroll, $2000 with successful completion of 120 days. Less applicable taxes and withholding.

Position Summary

The Quality CMM Inspector works with assistance and direction to use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to perform in-process and completed inspections of products such as machine parts, mechanical assemblies, and the inspections of applied protective coatings including verification of thermal process (heat treat and eddy current inspections).

Shift

Sunday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

OR

Tuesday – Saturday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Reporting Relationships

The Quality CMM Inspector will report to the Quality Supervisor.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Uses various measuring devices to perform required inspections and accepts or rejects malfunctioning or non-conforming units or systems
  • Works from blueprints, digital models, diagrams or other customer specifications, and uses inspection instructions and checklists
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
  • First part inspection of machined parts utilizing DCC CMM&39;s and or manual inspection methods
  • Final inspection of Aerospace product including dimensional and temper inspection
  • Enter data using Syteline/ESI or other ERP systems as directed
  • Arrange inspection work queues to identify priority work, move completed work to next staging area
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming product
  • Understand and, under supervision, conduct product verification in accordance with inspection plans and applicable Primus process practices used in the work center
  • Actively follow instructions as required in all aspects of the work assignment and have a working knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME Y14.5
  • Knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, air gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (running PCDMIS software)
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to use Syteline/ESI or other ERP systems after instruction
  • Blueprint reading and basic math skills
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
  • Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions
  • Willingness to learn
  • 3 or more years of experience running DCC CMM&39;s using PCDMIS software

  • Must be able to: lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work, clarity with distance, distinction with color, peripheral observation up and down/left and right, depth perception for distance and spatial relationships, sharp focus of objects brought into line of sight.
  • Mental dexterity needed to work independently while demonstrating attention to detail and continuous awareness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Level of Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.50 to $35.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
