This role is ideal for experienced welders who are committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial setting.
What You’ll Do
As a Career Welder, you’ll play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of maritime structures and components. Your welding expertise will directly support production quality, structural integrity, and operational excellence.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) accurately and consistently
Perform FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) fillet welds in:
Flat (1F)
Horizontal (2F)
Vertical (3F)
Overhead (4F) positions
Inspect completed welds to ensure all quality standards and specifications are met
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures
Participate in safety initiatives and committee activities when applicable
Support production and team operations with additional assigned duties
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of FCAW (flux-core welding) experience
Ability to successfully pass:
Strong understanding of weld size requirements and quality acceptance standards
Ability to work while wearing required PPE, including respirators and protective gear
Comfortable working at heights of 15 feet or more
Ability to climb ladders and stairs safely
Comfortable working in confined or narrow spaces for extended periods
Physical ability to kneel, bend, walk, and stand for long durations
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous maritime, shipbuilding, or heavy industrial welding experience
Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
Team-oriented mindset with strong work ethic and reliability

Pay Details: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
