Chief Inspector / Accountable Manager
Job Description:
The Chief Inspector / Accountable Manager holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring Qmulus Aviation’s compliance with all applicable aviation safety regulations and Part 145 requirements. This role serves as the organization’s primary regulatory authority, overseeing the quality system, inspection standards, and safety performance while ensuring that sufficient resources, personnel, and infrastructure are in place to support a compliant and effective maintenance operation.
 
The position acts as the principal liaison with the FAA and other competent authorities, ensuring continued conformity with approved manuals, procedures, and regulatory obligations. The role also provides leadership across departments, drives corrective actions following audits or findings, and ensures the integrity of maintenance records, inspection processes, and personnel authorizations.
Job Requirements:
Accountable Manager Responsibilities
  • Maintain ultimate accountability for regulatory compliance and organizational safety performance.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, tooling, facilities, and financial resources to support compliant operations.
  • Implement and maintain an effective Quality System and, where applicable, Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with FAA and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to approved manuals, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Authorize and ensure timely corrective actions in response to internal and external audit findings.
Chief Inspector Responsibilities
  • Ensure all maintenance and inspection activities comply with Part 145 and applicable regulations.
  • Oversee the quality system, including audits, continuous improvement, and corrective actions.
  • Supervise inspections to confirm airworthiness of aircraft and components.
  • Approve and monitor training and competency of certifying staff and inspectors.
  • Ensure proper completion, accuracy, and retention of maintenance and release documentation.
  • Report significant defects, incidents, or non-conformities to regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure inspection tools and test equipment are properly calibrated and serviceable.
  • Act as a liaison for clients and regulators on inspection and airworthiness matters.
