Job Description:
We are partnered with an established and reputable Part 145 repair station in the Corpus Christi, TX area, to find a Chief Inspector / Operations Manager. Our client is a leading MRO service provider with expertise on PT6A engines. We are searching for a professional and experienced inspector to practice oversight of both the inspection process and associated personnel. This position is part of the management team and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a full-time opportunity with an excellent compensation and benefits package.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall operation of the inspection process. Hold final authority in the releasing to service of engines, appliances, and components.
  • Responsible for directing, planning, and laying out the details on inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable FARs, manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.
  • Will assist, supervise, and direct all personnel in assigned inspection duties.
  • Maintain and keep a current file of pertinent FARs, specifications, type certification data sheets, and airworthiness directives.
  • Ensure that precision test equipment and tools requiring calibration or testing comply with current calibration standards while maintaining an accurate record of all pending and completed calibrations.
  • Ensure that no defective, non-serviceable, or non-airworthy parts are installed in any article released for service.
  • Accomplish the final acceptance of all incoming material, including new parts and supplies.
  • Perform and document preliminary, hidden damage, in-process and final inspections of articles processed by the repair station in compliance with QCM procedures. Will oversee the tagging and identification of articles outlined in the QCM.
  • Coordinate the work estimate and customer quote process, including interaction with operators, DOMs and technical support staff.
  • Participate in vendor selection, regulatory audits, operating margin analysis and inventory control.
  • Steward shop throughput, workflow and scheduling.  
Job Requirements:
  • At least five years hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and inspecting turbine jet engines.
  • Previous Chief Inspector experience preferred.
  • A&P License and IA preferred.
  • NDT experience preferred.
