Job Title: Chief InspectorJob Description
The primary responsibility of the Chief Inspector is to coordinate, accomplish, and execute all inspection and quality functions both on and off aircraft. Familiarity with maintenance, preventative maintenance, alteration, and inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools is essential to ensure proper work performance and airworthiness of the articles and aircraft types.
Responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory compliance by checking work accomplished away from the repair stations fixed location and report findings to the Chief Inspector.
- Assist in determining if the planned work by the maintenance team is within the repair station certificate authority.
- Maintain appropriate and current Code of Federal Regulation, Advisory Circulars, Specifications, Type Certificate Data sheets, Technical Data, and Airworthiness Directives.
- Audit complete records of all inspections and maintenance activities and help develop and maintain audit schedules, results, and corrective actions.
- Ensure timely follow-up for the completion of findings and that inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids, are labeled correctly and in proper working order.
- Determine the final disposition of items that have exceeded allowable shelf-life limits or failed to meet incoming inspection.
- Assist in providing oversight of field inspectors for progressive and ongoing inspections at various stages of work scopes.
- Maintain and manage the contract maintenance provider program, including coordinating with the FAA on contract maintenance functions.
- Oversee proper documentation and traceability of aircraft parts, ensuring adherence to FAA and industry requirements.
- Assist with the filing of reports on serious failures, malfunctions, or defects, and determine whether incidents should be reported to the FAA under the Voluntary Disclosure Reporting program.
- Work in partnership with the training liaison to review the Training Needs Assessment for each employee and ensure personnel are appropriately trained before assigning inspection tasks.
- Participate in weekly quality meetings and maintenance meetings.
Essential Skills- A & P license
- Minimum 10 years of experience in performing inspection on aircraft
- Familiarity with all job accountabilities listed in the job description
- Flexibility with changes that may arise in a growing company
- Desire to make a long-term commitment to the company
- IA preferred
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with quality control and quality inspection
- Knowledge of airframe and aircraft systems

The fleet consists of Boeing 737 FIRELINERS™, Hercules C130, Citation and King Air fire support platforms, CH47D Chinooks, UH60, and Bell 412 helicopters, providing rapid response capabilities using aviation assets.

This is a Permanent position based out of Thermal, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
