At AIM, we specialize in aviation airframe & engine repair, maintenance, and overhaul. Safety, compliance, and precision are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Inspector to lead our Quality Program and ensure we meet and exceed FAA and EASA requirements.
Job Summary
The Chief Inspector oversees AIM’s 14 CFR Part 145 Quality Program. This role ensures our operations maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. The Chief Inspector manages audits, certifications, training, and inspection procedures, working closely with maintenance and operations teams to ensure regulatory and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures, manuals, and maintenance documents.
- Manage internal and external audits to meet regulatory compliance.
- Oversee contract maintenance programs and inspection standards.
- Administer CFR Part 65 certification programs for technicians.
- Lead AIM’s Training Plan, ensuring staff are qualified and compliant.
- Implement AIM’s Safety Management System (SMS).
- Manage tool calibration, inspection equipment integrity, and shelf-life programs.
- Draft and resolve Corrective Action Reports (CARs) for maintenance deficiencies.
- Identify and implement process improvements in safety, compliance, and quality.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in aviation maintenance, inspection, and/or quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, including 14 CFR Part 145 and Part 65.
- Prior leadership experience in a regulated aviation environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage compliance programs, audits, and training initiatives.
- Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
