POSITION / OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
- The Aircraft Structures Technician is responsible for fabricating, repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures, components, and related tooling in accordance with company policies, FAA regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
- Work is performed using approved maintenance manuals and technical data to ensure structural integrity and airworthiness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricate, repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structural components.
- Perform structural work in accordance with approved technical data and procedures.
- Interpret and utilize blueprints, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of work performed.
- Support special projects, modifications, or tooling fabrication as required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- 2+ years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably within an airline or MRO environment.
- Boeing or Airbus experience required.
- Strong Working Knowledge Of:
- FAA regulations (FARs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins
- Company policies, procedures, and maintenance manuals
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, precision instruments, and structural repair equipment
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal
- Ability to complete a pre-employment 7-year Criminal Background Check, and standard FAA DOT drug test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport SIDA badge (must pass background check).
- Reliable personal transportation/vehicle required.
- Valid US Driver’s License.
- Proof of Authorization to work in the U.S.
- MUST have basic tools/box.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to work with arms extended overhead for extended durations.
- Must have correctable vision (near and far).
- Must be able to hear at a conversational level (with or without a hearing aid).
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to safely handle small parts and precision tools.
