Maintenance Technician – Distribution Center
Location: Memphis, TN
Shift: D1 Tuesday–Friday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $22.00/hour
Environment: Climate-Controlled DC

Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced DC Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume distribution center. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing material handling equipment (MHE), conveyor systems, industrial battery systems, and baler equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and minimizing downtime.
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance role. Candidates must be comfortable working around heavy equipment and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures to minimize downtime
Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on:
Conveyor systems
Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
Electrical and mechanical systems
Change, service, and maintain industrial MHE batteries (forklift, reach truck, order picker):
Battery change-outs using hoists or rollers
Inspect cables, connectors, and cells
Follow battery room safety procedures
Maintain and repair industrial baler equipment (cardboard and plastic):
Clear jams and fault conditions
Support hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components
Perform LOTO during repairs
Use root-cause analysis to resolve recurring issues
Track work orders, parts usage, and repairs using CMMS
Support control room, storeroom, and vendor/contractor coordination
Perform light fabrication, cutting, welding, or installation work as needed
Follow all safety standards including PPE and LOTO
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
2+ years of maintenance experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or industrial environment
Hands-on experience with industrial batteries and baler equipment
Strong knowledge of:
Mechanical and electrical systems
Conveyors and MHE
Ability to work independently and complete complex repairs
Experience using CMMS
Strong safety awareness and LOTO experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, or industrial controls (Allen Bradley / Siemens)
Industrial electrician or electro-mechanical background
Certifications in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical Systems
Associate’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
