Education and/or Experience
Completion of FAA approved training program for A&P certification
Minimum 5 years experience working as an A&P mechanic or equivalent foreign rating
Bachelor of Science in aviation and/or business management/administration or equivalent preferred
Mission aviation maintenance experience preferred
Management experience preferred
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical and maintenance reports, manuals and documents.
Ability to write logbook entries and service reports.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers and customers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic to extensive knowledge of Word
Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Project Management software; Payroll systems; Human Resource systems; Accounting software and Contact Management systems.
