PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read, comprehend, and comply with all applicable procedures.
- Acquire and maintain “Self-Release” certification for all customers of PCC, (GE, P&W, Etc.)
- Perform visual and other inspections to audit parts prior to shipment.
- Work with internal and external auditors and customers
- Be able to verify serial numbers and confirm part traceability using PCC’s digital systems.
- Interface with shipping personnel daily to ensure priority of audits being done.
- Complete non-conformance documentation when audit findings occur.
- Communicate audit findings and corrections needed to upstream inspectors / operators.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and disposition scrap castings and customer returns.
- Prepare scrap castings for revert.
- Review miscellaneous scrap reason code rejects and rework.
- Inspect casting to determine possible rework method needed to return to a conforming status.
- Initiate the shipment of rework to be performed by an outside source.
- Re-inspect castings to determine rework was complete and successful.
- Record all work performed in Lot Control & AQCS.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Visual or other quality related inspection is required.
- Maintain applicable certifications per individual assignment.
- Knowledge of inspection operations (FPI, Grain, X-Ray, and Dimensional) a plus.
- Ability to work well with coworkers and manage conflict.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading is preferred.
- Meet or exceed defined Visual Acuity and Color perception.
- 1-3 years inspection experience is preferred.
