Assemble, calibrate, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of components, devices and systems according to pre-determined specifications using the appropriate test equipment.

Compensation

This is a union role, and the pay rate is $30.03/hour. Plus $1.10/hour for 2nd shift and $1.35/hour for 3rd.

Shift Hours:
1st Shift:             6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
2nd Shift:            2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
3rd Shift:            10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and/or electronic devices and assemblies referring to engineering specs, prints, layouts and/or verbal instructions.
  • Check and adjust for balance, alignment, tension, spacing, physical dimensions, outputs and adjustable parameters and record non-adjustable parameters.
  • Use a variety of manual and automated mechanical, electrical and optical checking equipment.
  • Calculate raw data and adjust/calibrate assemblies to achieve the final specification as required.
  • Check faulty assemblies using mechanical checking equipment.
  • Analyze and diagnose findings to determine defects and method of repair.
  • Disassembles, replaces parts, readjust, and reassemble devices to complete repairs.
  • Perform electronic troubleshooting at the level consistent with the schooling required as indicated at the end of this job description.
  • May assist or instruct other Electro-Mechanical Builders or employees at lower labor grades.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two or more classes of progressive electronics training from an accredited college or university. (Intro to Electronics I and II, etc)

WE VALUE

  • Handles lightweight parts and materials.
  • Works seated or standing.
  • Occasionally handles heavy fixtures.
