Title: A&P Mechanic in Engine Shop

Summary:   
   Reporting directly to the Engine Shop Manager, the Engine Shop A&P Mechanic is directly responsible for troubleshooting, repair, disassembly, and service of aircraft, components, and engine systems. This position will perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, and adjustments of various aircraft systems and structures in compliance with technical specifications, engineering instructions and FAA regulations with a focus on safety and quality.
Essential Duties   and Responsibilities   included, but not limited to:
- Maintain all aircraft, components, and systems as assigned in compliance with specifications and FAA regulations
 - Inspect and certify Engine maintenance per regulations
 - Troubleshoot system and component malfunctions and perform necessary maintenance work or re-work using various tools and diagnostic devices
 - Remove and replace defective components
 - Perform   full video   Borescope/Boreblend and Engine Preservation tasks
 - APU run & check
 - Disassemble aircraft and components (teardown)
 - Perform preflight/postflight turnaround inspections and servicing as assigned
 - Perform maintenance on Ground Service Equipment,   as needed
 - Maintain all pertinent documentation/maintenance records   – logbooks, 8130’s, and historical data as required
 - Clean and maintain exterior and interior of aircraft
 - Perform other tasks as assigned
 - Interpret technical drawings to assemble and disassemble engines
 
   Education & Experience:
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is required for consideration
 - High School Diploma or Equivalent
 - Internal Borescope Inspection Qualification
 - 5+ years hands-on airframe and power plant experience
 - Strong attention to detail and accuracy
 - Current Gen Fam’s for a variety of aircraft powerplant systems in one or more of our core platforms (PW4000, CFM56, and similar) are preferred
 - Experience reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals, IPC, SRM, etc.
 - Thorough working knowledge of ATA Chapters and codes
 - Ability to perform well on a team
 - Basic Math and Measurement Skills
 - Familiarity with safe use of motorized lift equipment, forklifts, and pallet jacks preferred but not required
 - Ability to read and write the English language
 - Run and Taxi certification
 - 747, 757, 767, and/or 777 Experience and/or Gen Fam highly preferred
 - Maintenance planning experience, preferred
