We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structures Instructor to join our Production Systems Training team as an Experienced Employee Development Specialist in Berkeley, MO.
The Structures Instructor will deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in aircraft structures, materials, repair techniques, and corrosion control to New Hires and experienced mechanics. The instructor will develop curriculum, evaluate student progress, maintain training lab equipment, and ensure all instruction meets the process requirements. This position requires the ability to work multiple shifts and potential travel opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver engaging classroom lectures, lab demonstrations, and practical workshops on aircraft structures topics.
Develop, review, and update lesson plans, course materials, lab exercises and assessments.
Prepare and maintain training equipment, jigs, fixtures, and materials for hands-on labs
Assess student performance through written exams, practical evaluations, and progress reports
Teach students safe work practices and adherence to maintenance standards
Collaborate with curriculum developers, subject matter experts, and operations to continually improve training programs
Keep current with advances in materials, repair methods, and industry best practices
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience with aircraft system or structures design, development and production
Experience performing aircraft structural and mechanical work
Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment
Experience reading and interpreting Technical Data
Ability to travel up to 10 of work time
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Experience in Fighter Jet Structures procedures i.e. precision drilling, fastener installation/removal, bonding and grounding, torquing, safetying devices, etc.
Experience transferring knowledge through formal or informal modes of training
