Waterford Aviation is seeking an experienced General Aviation A&P Technician to join our growing maintenance team at Oakland County International Airport (PTK) in Waterford, Michigan.
As an Authorized Cirrus and Diamond Service Center, we specialize primarily in modern piston aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair. Our shop supports a wide range of general aviation aircraft, with a strong focus on owner-flown piston aircraft requiring quality workmanship, accurate diagnostics, and professional maintenance support.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a technician who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and perform high-quality maintenance with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Be Working On:
• Annual inspections
• 100-hour inspections
• Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Troubleshooting intermittent discrepancies
• Engine diagnostics (Lycoming / Continental)
• Electrical and avionics-related troubleshooting
• Pre-purchase inspections
• General airframe, powerplant, and systems maintenance
Aircraft experience may include:
• Cirrus
• Diamond
• Cessna
• Other general aviation piston aircraft
