Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a motivated Fabrication Specialist - Composite Assembly (Entry-Level or Associate) to support the Fabrication Team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The successful candidate has entry level or mid-level fabrication skills and is detail oriented. We are seeking a problem-solving teammate.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Performs composite assembly and fabrication tasks.

  • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.

  • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.

  • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.

  • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

  • Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements. 

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ months of experience in manufacturing.

  • Ability to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends

  • Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds.

 Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools).

  • Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry.

  • Experience with reading and interpreting Blue Print/or 3D drawings.

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry-Level (Level A):
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

Associate (Level B):
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range:

Entry-Level - $38,250 – $51,750

Associate Level - $46,750 – $63,250
