Job Summary

The internship position will expose the student to hands-on experience in the Facilities Maintenance Department. The incumbent will be involved in several projects throughout the internship specifically related to Facilities Maintenance areas such as building conditions, asset management and maintenance. The incumbent will have the unique opportunity to work with multiple levels of the company and provide support in analyzing, developing, and improving processes.

 

Here is how the Facilities Maintenance Intern will help:     

  • Conduct research, collect data, analyze and develop recommendations for potential strategies and tactics to address issues related to Facilities Maintenance and the key business priorities and performance standards. 
  • Partner with Business Development on tenant/lease terms by providing necessary details regarding building conditions, dates and types of construction/preventative maintenance performed, and outcomes of the construction/preventative maintenance work.
  • Coordinate planned work to be performed in inspected buildings.
  • This position would also coordinate building visits with the Fire Department for a common picture and would coordinate with Asset Management to maintain a Warranty Program for all new equipment for the ACAA to include the TMP, ARP, Tenant work and Cargo facilities.  
  • This position will coordinate with Finance to ensure warranty equipment is captured in a manner consistent with ACAA goals. 
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements to apply for role of Facilities Maintenance Intern are:

  • Must currently be enrolled in school as a second year (or above) undergraduate from an accredited four-year college or university in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or greater.
