As the Facility and MHS Mechanics Assistant, you will take on a diverse set of responsibilities, such as:

• Paint, clean, change light bulbs, hardware changes, escort Sub Contractors
• Repair under supervision, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, CCTV and MHS issues
• Repair of GSE, battery changes
• Report to Maintenance Supervisor/Master Mechanic/Mechanic on all repairs and preventative maintenance issues

* Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications:

• High School or GED required
• Must demonstrate strong communication skills in English
• On call for emergencies (24 hours 7 days a week)
• Must display willingness to learn
• Ability to climb ladders
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
• Will work with high noise levels requiring noise protection
• Work includes handling lubricants, solvents, batteries cleaning fluids and paints
• Shift and weekend work is required
• Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to push/lift 75 pounds
• Assist in emergency evacuations
• Operate snow blower and snow shovel
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
