Helicopter Field Mechanic - MD369 D and FF

Winco offers helicopter assisted services for traditional electric maintenance and construction.  Projects with limited access due to terrain or environmental concerns as well as those on aggressive schedules have benefited from Winco’s aerial capabilities.  This position will be for Field Helicopter mechanic on MD369 D and FF helicopters

Accountabilities and Duties

Aircraft Mechanic are responsible for:

• The overall proper maintenance of the aircraft.
• Maintaining correct and legible log pages/book and making component permanent record card entries, signing off all work with an authorized signature.
• Completing inspections when due, utilizing the appropriate checklist.
• Changing time-life/overhaul life items when due. Tagging them with the date of removal and accurate times and cycles accumulated.
• Correcting discrepancies reported by the pilot.
• Completing reports in a concise, legible, and timely manner.
• Conducting a daily aircraft inspection. Preflight and postflight
• Cleaning or assisting of the cleaning of the helicopter each day, including wiping clean all excess grease and sweeping out the cabin.
• Cleaning and polishing the windshield each day prior to the first flight.
• Protection of the aircraft on the ground.
• Assisting the pilot in securing the landing area, by keeping unauthorized persons away.
• Testing the fuel each day and fueling the aircraft as directed.
• Operation of motor vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Performing additional duties as required.

Schedule/Salary-3 week on 3 week of, paid of minimum of 40 hrs. per week, even on off shift, with an additional 20hrs overtime per week guaranteed while on shift. Current hourly ranges from $25.00 to $36.00 per hr depending on experience.   Insurance/Benefit summary can be provided upon contact. 

Shadowed Tool boxes provided.  No need to travel with your own tools.

• Mechanic must have sufficient knowledge, experience to carry out the accountabilities and duties
• FAA Airframe and Power Plant license
• 2 years general maintenance training or equivalent experience with make model helicopter/engine
• FAA/DOT drug test

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
• Legal US work status.
• Current US driver’s license.
• Pass a DOT Physical
• Must have a minimum of six-months helicopter maintenance experience during the past 24 months.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs and climb ladders.
• Requires the ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and in remote locations.

Mechanic must be self-sufficient when conducting remote operations and must possess mission support capabilities, basic computer skills, and recordkeeping skills.

Mechanic must become knowledgeable of the appropriate contents of the: Winco Operations Manual, Winco Environmental Health and Safety Manual, FAR’s, FAA Regulations, OSHA Standards Rotorcraft Flight Manual, Manufacture’s Maintenance Manuals and Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and other information necessary to perform his duties.
