JOB SUMMARY:
The Field Support Representative (FSR) will provide knowledge and assistance to maintenance personnel for the T-6 aircraft structure and operating systems, including avionics and electrical systems, engine operations, support equipment, and required maintenance tasks. The FSR shall possess the ability to work independently, without technical guidance, to perform tasks included in the T-6 aircraft maintenance manuals. The FSR shall have sufficient education and maintenance experience to perform the required duties for all maintenance, repair, assembly, testing, operation, and other related functions of the T-6 aircraft. The FSR shall have experience utilizing all ground support equipment necessary to maintain the T-6 aircraft. The FSR shall communicate effectively in both oral and written methods, share technical knowledge to less qualified personnel, and be able to instruct maintenance technicians in structured on-the-job training (OJT) programs. The FSR shall support all program needs, various tasks, and follow direction from the Site Lead.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide instruction, assistance, and on-the-job training in:
- Operating and maintaining the T-6 aircraft and its avionics, propulsion, and support equipment systems
- Resolving T-6 aircraft equipment or system anomalies
- Performing fault reporting and fault isolation procedures
- Removing and installing components
- Using hand equipment, special tools, and test equipment
- Emphasizing safety precautions during the operation and maintenance
- Providing interpretation of technical data set forth in Technical Orders
- Demonstrating new maintenance tasks
- Provide suggestions for Improvement including:
- Additional training for organizational maintenance team personnel
- Changes to operation, maintenance, inspection, and training requirements to improve system performance and reliability
- Provide assistance in:
- Representation to the Contractors program management team for recommendations concerning Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Service Instructions (SIs)
- Validating the best method for accomplishing service instructions (SIs), time compliance technical orders (TCTOs) and installing mods or retrofit kits
- Completing Depot Level maintenance tasks as requested
- Testing functional and operational checks when authorized by Functional Area Chief or designee
- Mishap investigations, service reporting, and material deficiency report evaluations
- Review and validation of 1st time part requests submitted to the COMBS to identify potential fleet impacts across sites
- Monitoring failures and developing/validating corrective action
- Operational, maintenance, inspection, and training requirement changes to improve platform availability and reliability
- Maintaining warehouse, equipment, and tools or process improvements.
- Verifying maintenance tasks are completed
