Field Service Technician – AerospaceFor a leading staffing partner supporting a major organization in the aerospace industry, we are seeking a Field Service Technician for a direct hire position based in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will work in a day job schedule and operate in dynamic, customer-facing environments supporting advanced business aircraft. You will be closely involved in aircraft operations, providing technical support that helps customers integrate and maintain aircraft within their fleets. The position focuses on troubleshooting complex technical issues, supporting maintenance activities, and contributing to safety, efficiency, and overall fleet performance for high-performance business aircraft.

What You Will Do?• Support customers in integrating aircraft into their operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness at all times.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support to diagnose and resolve technical issues across multiple aircraft systems and operational conditions.
• Escalate critical technical or operational concerns to internal teams and customer leadership to ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
• Deliver informal training and share technical, operational, and maintenance best practices directly with customer personnel and internal stakeholders.
• Keep internal management informed of key fleet performance and maintenance issues using structured communication and reporting methods.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer procedures and operational efficiency by analyzing recurring issues and maintenance trends.
• Promote and explain service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and technical documentation to ensure correct understanding and implementation.
• Prepare and deliver reports in accordance with established schedules and requirements defined by internal and customer processes.
• Lead or support field activities including modifications, upgrades, and repair efforts on advanced business aircraft platforms.
• Collaborate with internal support teams to resolve recurring or complex fleet issues affecting safety, reliability, or operational availability.
• Participate in customer meetings, including reliability and operational reviews, providing technical input and status updates as needed.
• Travel to customer sites and service facilities to oversee troubleshooting and support activities in varied operational environments.
Your Skills• Minimum of 5 years of aviation maintenance experience working on aircraft in operational or maintenance environments.
• At least 2 years of experience working with Bombardier aircraft platforms (Global or Challenger series preferred) in service or support roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in aircraft systems, including complex, multi-system interactions affecting aircraft performance.
• Proficiency with computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based tools used for documentation and reporting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams and with customers in demanding operational situations.
• Strong business writing skills for reporting and documentation, including maintenance findings and fleet performance summaries.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required to customer sites, service facilities, and other operational locations.
• Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on resolving technical and operational issues efficiently.
• EASA or FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license preferred for candidates performing advanced maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Experience supporting high-performance business aircraft in operational environments, including on-site customer-focused technical support.
• Familiarity with service documentation such as Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins and their application in maintenance planning.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $47.00 per hour
