About the Opportunity

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced Flightline Mechanic to support aircraft functional testing, pre- and post-flight inspections, troubleshooting, and delivery readiness. This role plays a key part in preparing newly built aircraft for test flights and ensuring all systems are performing safely and reliably. The ideal candidate can read technical data, operate test equipment, and perform hands-on maintenance across multiple aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Functional Testing & Inspection

• Perform Functional Test Procedures, Pre-Flight, and Post-Flight inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems using approved technical data.
• Interpret drawings, engineering documents, and technical manuals.
• Operate and understand a variety of test equipment and tooling.

Aircraft Component Maintenance

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace structures, components, and systems of moderate complexity.
• Maintain and rework components such as:
  • Landing gear
  • Flight controls & surfaces
  • Anti-icing systems
  • Engines
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Fuel systems
  • Ventilation systems
• Service and repair cabin interior components.
• Perform daily aircraft maintenance tasks.

Operational Support

• Conduct refuel/defuel operations.
• Perform aircraft jack and tow procedures.
• Prepare and complete documentation in accordance with company standards.

• Minimum 3 years of aviation experience, ideally in manufacturing or MRO.
• Valid FAA Airframe License.
• Completion of a Vocational/Technical school program.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport permitting unrestricted travel to Canada.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Vision: Able to read screens, drawings, manuals, and written documentation.
• Hearing: Able to hear conversations, alarms, signals, and flightline activity.
• Speaking: Clear communication in person and electronically.
• Equipment: Able to use personal, office, and aircraft-related tools and equipment.
• Carrying: Occasionally carry up to 30 lbs.
• Lifting: Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pushing/Pulling: Required in shop and office environments.
• Sitting: Extended computer and meeting times.
• Squatting/Kneeling: Occasional.
• Standing: Extended periods when communicating or working on aircraft.
• Walking: Across office, shop floor, flight line, and uneven outdoor surfaces.
• Travel: Domestic and international travel required for short periods.
