Job Title: Fabrication MechanicJob Description
This mechanic maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty. This includes flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. The role requires applying technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions, restore equipment condition, and solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers manuals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Apply technical knowledge to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operational condition.
- Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers manuals to solve moderate to complex problems.
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components and replace parts as needed.
- Perform aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repairs.
- Use aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and sheers.
- Make entries in aircraft logs and records when required.
- Lead teams through more complex aircraft tasks occasionally.
- Prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
