Description:Mechanical Production Engineering Lead to support GMLRS activities. The candidate will support GMLRS Production activities in Grand Prairie, TX and Camden, AK, reporting to program Chief Engineering. The candidate will lead the Mechanical focused Production team (8-12 equivs) as a Technical Lead, CAM, and contributor to include the following duties: hardware troubleshooting, dispositioning of hardware (MRBE), requirements and drawing reviews, supporting program and technical reviews, team tasking, and customer review coordination/materials, support risks, schedule, CAM duties, supplier technical support and management. In addition to regular production activities, the candidate will also support Program business capture activities, including: trade studies, white papers, technical analysis, and creating BOE’s and proposal write-ups. Travel to Camden, AK or supplier sites will be required on an as-needed basis.

As an E&T Manager, the candidate will be
responsible for the management and
development of their team, support of functional
department initiatives and directorate
undertakings, and driving technical excellence,
affordability, and program execution. For the
management and development of their team, the E&T manager is responsible for providing
technical coaching and mentoring, work
assignments, employee career development,
continuous ongoing feedback, and being their
employees advocate in opportunity discussions.
To support functional initiatives and directorate
undertakings, the E&T manager is responsible
for coordinating employee recruitment, selection
and training, performance assessments, salary
planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and
engineering competency development. To drive
technical excellence, affordability, and program
execution, the E&T manager is responsible for
supporting program development, execution of
program requirements, adherence to engineering
development processes, promoting customer
focus, and serving as the technical conscience
for their program.

The ideal candidate would be proficient in the use of CREO, have excellent verbal, presentation, GD&T, and written skills. Candidate should be able to work with a diverse team of internal organizations, managing supplier inputs, and developing internal documentation to meet contractual delivery expectations. Individual should be familiar with mechanical hardware fabrication approaches and techniques. Previous missile experience preferred. A secret security clearance, or ability to obtain one, is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability
to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Engineering management or Engineering team
lead experience including task planning, budget
management, subcontract management and/or
employee development and mentoring
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and follow a
specification/drawing
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
